Mrs. Addie F. Deloatch, age 78 of Conway, NC, departed this life on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
Addie, a daughter of the late Sam Freeman and Hattie Parker Freeman, was born July 19, 1933 in Northampton County, NC.
She received her education through the public schools of Northampton County and graduated from Willis Hare High School, Pendleton, NC.
At an early age, she joined Allen Chapel AME Church and remained a member until death.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Norman Deloatch, Jr. and God blessed their union with three children. She was very devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
For many years, she worked as a presser in the dry cleaning business.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children and siblings.
The memories of her life will be cherished by her loving husband: Norman Deloatch, Jr. of Rich Square, NC; adopted son/grandson: Quan Sonny Deloatch of Albany, NY; three great-grandchildren; her devoted sister: Christine Freeman Williams and husband, Theotis of Jamaica, NY; one aunt: Mary P. Roberts of Garysburg, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. from the Memorial Chapel of Cofield Mortuary with Rev. George M. Jerman, Sr. bringing words of comfort.
Interment will follow in the Lancie Freeman Family Memorial Gardens, Conway, NC.
The Cofield Family and Staff extends their heartfelt sympathy and continued support to the Deloatch and Freeman Family during and after this period of bereavement.
