Mary Louise Brown Wynn

Ms. Mary B. Wynn, age 60 of Garysburg, NC, departed this life on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at UNC Memorial Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.

Mary, a daughter of the late Otis Brown, Sr. and Catherine Edmonds Brown, was born August 9, 1951 in Halifax County, NC.

She received her education in Northampton County while attending Garysburg Elementary School, Gumberry High School and Northampton County High School-East.

Upon confession of her faith in Christ, she joined Chapel Grove Baptist Church and served faithfully in the Mass Choir. She also served on the Kitchen Committee (known best for her banana pudding), drove the Sunday School bus and taught the Beginners Class at one time.

For many years, she drove Bus #188 for the Northampton County Public Schools and later became employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Hampton Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Jackson, NC.

Treasured memories will remain with her daughters: Aneshia Wynn of Knightdale, NC and Ayesha Wynn of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren: Tatiana, Nyisha, Carley and Alex; her siblings: Barbara Brown of Garysburg, NC, Faye Brown of Raleigh, NC, Juanita Parker of Brooklyn, NY, Ola Davis (Mark) of Garysburg, NC, Otis Brown, Jr. of Weldon, NC, Allen Brown (Cynthia) of Queens, NY, Carlton Brown of Marietta, GA and Gregory Banks of Garysburg, NC; a special cousin who was like a sister: Carolyn Crossen of Garysburg, NC; two aunts: Annie B. Scott (Joseph) of Brooklyn, NY and Lorraine E. Clark (Leon) of Weldon, NC; mother-in-law: Bessie Baker of Delaware; sister-in-law: Iris Baker of Delaware; brothers-in-law: Michael and Tommy Baker of Brooklyn, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Homegoing Services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from the sanctuary of Chapel Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC with the Pastor, Rev. Elbert E. Lee delivering words of comfort.

Interment will follow in the Chapel Grove Memorial Gardens.

The Cofield Family and Staff extends their heartfelt sympathy and continued support to the Brown and Wynn Family during and after this period of bereavement.
