Miss Jessica Omara Alston, age 20, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, passed away on Saturday night, June 2, 2012, at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Jessica, daughter of Derrick Godley and Wyverta Alston, was born November 4, 1991 in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

She was a 2010 graduate of Northwest Halifax High School and had been employed by BoJangles and Cook Out.

Jessica is survived by her parents, Derrick Godley and Wyverta Alston of Roanoke Rapids, NC; brother, DaShan Alston of the home; maternal grandfather, Albert Alston; paternal grandmother, Quessaline Godley, both of Roanoke Rapids, NC; aunts, Ida Purnell (Jeff), Dana Mason (Kenneth) and Ethelene Godley, all of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Barbara Parker of Weldon, NC and Marian Godley of Raleigh, NC; uncles, Quinton, Godley (Tracey), Gaston, NC, Vance Purnell, Richmond, Va, Ronald Godley (Judy), Alvin Pierce and Willie A. Alston, Jr., all of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1:00 PM from the sanctuary of Shearin's Chapel Baptist Church, 1892 Thelma Road, Roanoke Rapids, NC, with the Rev. Maxine M. Bradley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
