Clayborne Winford Lynch

Mr. Clayborne W. Lynch, age 62 of Halifax, NC, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Clayborne, a son of the late Leroy Lynch, Sr. and Frances E. Lawrence Lynch, was born November 17, 1949 in Halifax County, NC.

His education was obtained at the School for the Mentally and Physically Challenged, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Clayborne lived at the rest home in Pleasant Hill, NC for approximately 40 years.

Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Dorothy E. Lynch, Janet L. Stewart, Hazel L. Moore, Leroy Lynch, Jr., Milon Lynch, Curtis Lynch (Vickie), Leatrice L. Patillo (William) and Rudolph Lynch (Nancy), all residents of Halifax County; four nieces: Stacie D. Stewart, Sherry Whitaker (Terrence), Christie Whitaker (Eric) and Neatrice M. Holmes (Maryland); four nephews: Donald G. Lynch, Curtis Lynch, Jr. (Betty), Brian K. Lynch and Milon P. Lynch; step-niece and nephew: Shawnetta Alexander (Rufus) and Keshon Fleming (Memory); several great-nieces and great-nephews; a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from the Memorial Chapel of Cofield Mortuary, Weldon, NC with Bishop Wayne I. Welch, Sr. delivering the eulogy.

Interment will follow in the Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The Cofield Fmaily and Staff extends their heartfelt sympathy and continued support to the Lynch Family during and after this period of bereavement.
