Mr. Brandon T. Peterson, age 29 of Weldon, NC, departed this life on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
Brandon, a son of Jesse and Joyce Peterson Hamlin, was born February 1, 1982 in Roanoke Rapids, NC.
He received his education through the Weldon City School System and graduated from Weldon High School and attended Fayetteville State University and also studied at Nova Community College, Woodbridge, VA.
Brandon gave his life to Christ, was baptized and joined Smith Chapel Baptist Church.
He was presently employed as an Electrician at the Norfolk Shipyard.
He was a mentor to the young and old alike, and had a very unique personality.

Hamlin of Weldon, NC; his daughter: JaKayla Anise Peterson of Gaston, NC; his devoted fiance: Christina Moody of the home; his siblings: Felecia Peterson of Weldon, NC, Joseph Lamont Peterson, Sr. (Devona) of Garysburg, NC and Jesse Tyrone Whitaker (Janice) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his nieces and nephews: Elisha Stephenson, Joseph Peterson, Jr., Ajayla Peterson and Courtney Brown, Jr.; his god-mother: Dorothy "Pig" Scott of Weldon, NC; his god-brother: Reginald Ponton of Weldon, NC; his aunts and uncles: Carolyn Pierce and Barbara Pierce (Alvin) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Dorothy Hamlin of Weldon, NC, Beulah Hamlin of Austin, TX, Alcola Burgess (Melvin) of Littleton, NC, Shewanda Edwards (Kelvin) of Pleasant Hill, NC, Tenekquela Patterson (Jerome) of Weldon, NC, Shirley Bell of Littleton, NC, Raymond Peterson, Jr. of Weldon, NC, Forrest Hamlin (Beverly) of Columbia Heights, MD, William Hamlin of Macon, NC and Michael Fox (Stephanie) of Hinesville, GA; two great-uncles: Jack Edmonds of Baltimore, MD and Paul Hamlin of Weldon, NC; a host of cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. from the sanctuary of Evangelistic Church of Deliverance, Weldon, NC with Rev. Christopher D. Mallory delivering the eulogy.
Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
